As part of its growing support for commercial vehicle fleets in the UK, Yokohama tyres has become the latest member of the Road Haulage Association (RHA), the UK’s largest dedicated trade association representing HGV, coach and van operators.
Joining the RHA is an important strategic step for Yokohama and further demonstration of its commitment to the UK’s road transport industry. Indeed, a growing number of commercial vehicle operators are trialling and choosing to fit Yokohama’s range of truck tyres to their vehicles, benefitting from the premium tyre performance that is delivered at an attractive price point.
Scott Dalziel, TBR Sales Manager UK & Ireland at Yokohama HPT, said: “Membership of the Road Haulage Association is an important milestone for Yokohama and demonstrates our desire to help road transport operators lower their vehicle running costs and even improve performance at the same time.”
By joining the RHA, Yokohama will have access to a host of benefits from the organisation, ensuring it stays abreast of the latest industry developments, trends and legislative issues. Furthermore, the membership will help to raise Yokohama’s awareness with operators who may have been unaware of the firm’s full range of tyres for commercial applications.
Geraint Davies, RHA UK Director of Partnerships, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Yokohama tyres to the Association and look forward to working closely with them. As operators know, tyres are a critical part of the industry and Yokohama’s involvement can only advance matters, helping our fleet members improve safety, efficiency and reduce their operating costs.”
