Vaculug, a leading name in tyre innovation and sustainability, is proud to announce the grand opening of its new OTR Centre of Excellence in Kent. This cutting-edge facility marks a major step forward in Vaculug’s mission to deliver world-class service, advanced technology, and environmentally conscious solutions to the heavy equipment industry.
Strategically located to serve the South of England, the Kent-based OTR Centre has been purpose-built to support the diverse and evolving needs of quarrying, port operations, industrial applications and waste management sectors. The centre offers a full suite of premium OTR services, including:
• 24-hour distribution and next-day service
• Tyre pressing capabilities
• Advanced Tyrfil technology to reduce environmental impact and operating costs
• Over 1,000 tyres in stock, ready to meet a wide variety of OTR applications
• Same-day click & collect service for maximum convenience
Vaculug is also pleased to introduce brand-new exchange wheel assemblies, available for immediate order. These assemblies come complete with your tyre of choice and are compatible with top OTR equipment brands, including JCB, Case, Hyundai, Caterpillar, Volvo, Liebherr and more.
In addition, the Kent centre stocks a wide selection of forklift wheels for models from JCB, Linde, Caterpillar and Mitsubishi. For operations requiring specialised equipment, Vaculug offers bespoke wheel assemblies made to order, tailored precisely to customer specifications.
A key innovation at the new facility is Vaculug’s enhanced Tyrfil recycling process, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability. When a worn-out foam filled tyre is removed from a vehicle, the casing is cut to expose the Tyrfil inside. This filling is then chopped into smaller pieces and processed into a fine crumb. That crumb is blended 50/50 with new Tyrfil and reused in new tyre fills. This closed-loop system allows every new tyre to incorporate recycled material enabling the process to be repeated again and again. It significantly reduces waste and contributes to a more sustainable lifecycle for industrial tyres.
The launch of the Kent facility forms part of Vaculug’s wider growth strategy to enhance nationwide OTR coverage and service capability. By expanding its operational footprint in the South, the company is now better positioned to respond to customer needs with greater speed, flexibility and technical expertise. This investment ensures that Vaculug can continue to provide tailored solutions and rapid turnaround times, supporting critical industries where uptime is essential.
Michael Evans, Operations & OTR Director at Vaculug, commented on the launch: “This new depot is a major milestone for Vaculug. It strengthens our position in the OTR market while supporting our sustainability commitments. We are better equipped than ever to meet the demands of our customers and help them keep their operations running smoothly.”
The launch of the OTR Centre of Excellence is a testament to Vaculug’s ongoing investment in innovation, customer support and green technology – ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the industry.
