TyreSafe has announced a new strategic partnership with CLOCS, the National Standard for ensuring safer construction vehicle journeys. This collaboration is set to bolster efforts to improve road safety, reduce risks to vulnerable road users, enhance air quality, ease congestion, and drive operational efficiencies within the construction sector. By bringing together regulators, clients, contractors, and fleet operators, TyreSafe and CLOCS aim to create a safer future on the road for the construction logistics industry.
With CLOCS members comprising of road users across multiple vehicle and road user types; including HGVs, LCVs, grey fleet and even powered two-wheelers, there is an expansive opportunity to improve tyre safety practices across a large range of road users. In addition, CLOCS works closely with fleet operators to reduce risk to protect drivers, vulnerable roads users and the operator’s commercial reputation. Working with TyreSafe will enable CLOCS to position tyre safety practices as part of their ongoing support to their members.
The two organisations will work closely to develop awareness campaigns, informative assets, toolkits, and targeted guidance, all aimed at improving tyre safety within the industry. This initiative demonstrates TyreSafe’s commitment to making tyre safety a priority across all sectors and supporting safer practices through collective efforts and industry education.
TyreSafe Chair, Stuart Lovatt, said, “Our new collaboration with CLOCS represents a milestone in extending tyre safety awareness and best practices to the construction logistics sector. By working together to reduce risks and encourage collaboration within the industry, we can make a significant impact on road safety, environmental efficiency, and the wellbeing of all road users.”
TyreSafe were delighted to attend the CLOCS and Driving for Better Business (DfBB) Conference on Wednesday, 20th November 2024, from 9am to 4pm at the British Motor Museum.
