Tyres Europe Welcomes Three National Association Members

Tyres Europe have signed cooperation agreements with Assogomma, Consorcio Nacional de Industriales del Caucho (Consorcio) and elanova, formally welcoming the Italian, Spanish and French National Associations as Association Members where they will represent the interests of their tyre industry members.

The agreements provide a framework for greater coordination on sector representation, connecting national expertise with Tyres Europe’s engagement at the European level. This strengthened cooperation will support a more coherent dialogue on the competitiveness of Europe’s tyre manufacturing industry and the conditions needed for the sector to invest, innovate and produce in Europe.

Livio Magni – Tyres Europe President – “With Assogomma, Consorcio and elanova joining Tyres Europe as Association Members, we are taking an important step towards a stronger and more representative voice for Europe’s tyre industry. At a time of profound industrial transformation, closer alignment between national and European perspectives is essential to foster investment and innovation and support a competitive and resilient manufacturing base in Europe.”

Roberto Forresu – Assogomma President – “Assogomma and its member companies have always believed in the value of European integration and cooperation. By joining Tyres Europe, Italy is ready to place its expertise at the service of a stronger and more coordinated representation of the tyre sector at both European and national level. We are confident this is in the interests of tyre companies and, more broadly, of all our member companies.”

Julio Fernandez – Consorcio Nacional de Industriales del Caucho President –  “Joining Tyres Europe represents a strategic opportunity for Consorcio Nacional de Industriales del Caucho. It will strengthen our European policy and regulatory discussions, while facilitating the exchange of expertise and best practices with peer associations across Europe. All of this contributes to increasing the visibility, representativeness, and influence of the association and its members, strengthening their competitiveness in an increasingly globalised environment”.

William Cazzoli – elanova President – “The adhesion of Elanova, together with its counterparts Assogomma and Consorcio, to Tyres Europe, confirms our common ambition to strengthen our contribution to the European debates and to raise the industrial challenges of our members within the framework of the co-construction of European policies for the development of our industries in Europe. Combining our expertise, capitalising on our specificities and jointly promoting the common needs of our companies are essential to win the battle for competitiveness and sovereignty in the face of international competition.”

The agreements were signed during a ceremony in Brussels attended by representatives of the three national associations, Tyres Europe’s President Livio Magni, Vice President Paolo Pompei and Secretary General Adam McCarthy.
