The Tyre Recovery Association is pleased to be supporting West Mercia Police in their initiative to tackle the scourge of tyre fly-tipping in their area:
The campaign involving retailers and others handling waste tyres will offer special marker pens to identify the origin of tyres removed from wheels, starting this week. Handouts and posters carrying the TRA logo promoting the campaign will also be available.
“Fly-tipping is a serious problem right across our country” said Peter Taylor (OBE) TRA secretary general. “Through our Responsible Recycler Scheme, we have done much to marginalise bad practises in our sector but there remain those who still choose to flout the law and ignore their legal duty of care. We applaud this initiative from West Mercia Police and hope other police forces may follow, we wish it every success”.
