TyreSafe has revised the categories and refreshed judging criteria for its 2021 Awards. With fewer categories this year, competition for each is expected to be intense but those wishing to make a submission will welcome the additional advice being offered with compiling their entries.
Video submissions are also eligible this year.
All those who have made a contribution to tyre safety awareness, whether in their community or nationally, are encouraged to gather their evidence and photos together and submit them via the submission platform at tyresafe.org.
The judges’ advice and the entry form can be found on the Awards page in the ‘For Supporters’ or using the URL tyresafe.org/tyresafe-awards
Entrants have the option to include any activities they have organised from 1st September 2020 to the 31st August 2021. The judges will be especially keen to see activity taking place during 2020’s Tyre Safety Month.
Regrettably, TyreSafe will not be holding a face-to-face Award ceremony for the second year running but winners will have the opportunity to celebrate via a social media activity.
The categories for 2021 comprise:
- Safety in the Community
- Innovation & Technology
- Online/Social
- Tyre Retailer
- Manufacturer
Highly Commended and Outstanding Achievement awards will also be presented at the judges’ discretion.
The closing date for entries is 24th September 2021 and winners will be announced in the final week of October’s Tyre Safety Month.
Stuart Jackson, Chairman of TyreSafe, said: “Winning a TyreSafe Award is an accolade to be proud of and we’ve made every effort this year to make it as easy as possible to submit a compelling, high quality submission. The work done in promoting tyre safety is invaluable in reducing the risk of an incident on the roads to motorists but is all too frequently overlooked – now is the chance to have that work recognised. We encourage all our supporters to enter.”
