Two of Denmark’s major tyre and auto service chains have taken the first steps in becoming one. This is a reality after the family-owned company NDI Group A/S, which owns the tyre and auto service chain Super Dæk Service, has agreed to acquire the shares of Euromaster’s Danish entities and thereby all assets and activities in Denmark, provided that the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority approves the transaction.
Increased customer value
The merger is driven by the vision of creating the best tyre and auto service chain in the business and increasing the standards of supplier and customer expectations in terms of products and service. Both parties are happy about this historic opportunity to combine the best of two worlds:
“We have a lot of respect for Euromaster Denmark and their many competent employees. I am convinced that by combining the great service of Super Dæk Service and Euromaster – along with enriching our product range with tyres from Michelin – we can give our customers the best experience possible,” says Benny Kristensen, founder, and owner of NDI Group A/S.
“We are very pleased to announce this agreement with NDI Group A/S. They are recognized for their professionalism, and we believe that we have a lot in common. Both companies have a strong ‘One Team’ culture focused on providing the best service and support to the customers – and I am convinced that this merger will contribute to an even stronger value add to our employees and customers.” says Henrik Fusager, Managing Director of Euromaster Denmark.
Meeting an increasing demand
When the merger is approved, the new chain will include up to 100 tyre and auto service centers with more than 650 employees nationwide. The increased local presence and opportunity for engaging in even deeper customer relationships have been the main forces behind the merger:
“Our customers have an increasing demand for a reliable and service-minded tyre and auto service partner with a wide national presence. Over the years, many logistics and mobility companies have grown both in size and geographic coverage and with the merger, we will increase our geographical footprint and safeguard the mobility of our customers within a highly competitive market,” says CEO of Super Dæk Service, Peter Skriver. He continues:
“In other words, we want to push the standards of what customers can expect and what we can deliver – whether you are a car owner, hauler, contractor, farmer, etc. We firmly believe that we can create the best tyre and service chain in the business with extraordinary customer service, product assortment, and expertise.”
The merger is pending approval by the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, which is expected in the spring of 2022. Until the transaction is completed, Super Dæk Service and Euromaster Denmark will, in every aspect, continue to operate as two completely separate companies.
