Sailun Tyre Smart Production Experience 2024 – China

In September, Sailun Tyre Europe (STE) hosted over 110 Maxam, Roadx and Dynamo customers from all over Europe to visit its modern production facilities, however this time choosing to bring them to Sailun Group’s China hometown, Qingdao. Customers were given an in-depth and personal introduction into what Sailun Group does every day to provide them the best tyre products they sell daily. Not only was it an experience to better understand Sailun Group, but some also took it as an opportunity to better understand China and Chinese culture itself. The trips spanned two weeks with Sailun PCR and TBR customers from all over Europe. In the first week Sailun Tyre Europe invites customers from UK, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece , Czech Republic, and Turkey. In the second week customers from Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Ireland, and Greece were guests of Sailun.

STE Managing Director, Harry Wang, said “These opportunities are extremely important for us. Getting customers in front of us, showing them what Sailun Group is truly about, and really building that trust and understanding with them is second-to- none. We couldn’t ask any more from these types of events than that.” Guests mentioned during their trip that they were blown away by the introduction they’d received to Sailun Group and the QUST Industrial Chain. One guest commented that “It only makes it more clear why you would choose Sailun Group as a key tyre partner. It’s the clear choice and I’m more confident than ever to explain that to whomever wants to hear it!”

The international guests first visited the facilities of Sailun Group where they could see the different types of in-house research and testing, production capabilities, and overall level of automation utilised in even some of Sailun’s oldest factories. At the roots of Sailun’s growth, customers were able to see how investment in automation has significantly altered the first factories established by Sailun. Of particular interest were the “lights out” TBR factory production line, Maxam Giant OTR and Agriculture manufacturing lines which showcased the capabilities of the newest automated production machinery seen in the industry.

In the next segment of the trip, guests visited the organisations part of the QUST Industrial Chain which support Sailun Group to “Make Great Tyres”. The QUST Industrial Platform contains hundreds of organisations, over 10 key industries, focused on the development and improvement of tyre products, and includes organisations from raw materials suppliers, tyre production equipment technologies, software, and end-of-life recycling. Here the pieces of the puzzle were brought together showing guests the sustainable development platform being established by Sailun Group.
