TÜV Süd tested the Sailun Ice Blazer Alpine 2 (205/55 R16 94H XL) against competitors and confirmed the winter tyre’s outstanding smart performance on wet and dry roads as well as its good rolling characteristics.
The Sailun Ice Blazer Alpine 2 of the dimension 205/55 R16 94H XL was tested by TÜV SÜD in twelve disciplines and in direct comparison with four tyres from competitors on the European market. For its excellent performance, it has been awarded the TÜV SÜD seal of approval, which officially confirms its strong capabilities in the areas of wet and dry safety, rolling resistance, and rolling noise.
In the five comparison disciplines of acceleration, braking, and handling on snow, as well as braking on wet and dry roads, the Sailun Ice Blazer Alpine 2 performed at the top level.
The rolling noise level was measured at 69 dB(A).
The Ice Blazer Alpine 2 is one of the latest winter tyre products from Sailun. It excels in all areas that frequent drivers expect from a modern and smart performance tyre during the cold season: good grip and precise steering on snow and ice; superior braking performance on wet roads; good aquaplaning behavior; and outstanding fuel efficiency.
Its innovative tread pattern and high-silica winter rubber compound keep it performing well even in cold temperatures and give it good handling characteristics in a wide range of winter road conditions. The centre of the tread offers optimum traction on ice and snow thanks to the variably angled ice pick pattern.
Numerous closely spaced transverse grooves in the blocks of the main tread pattern interlock optimally with snow, enabling superior control of the tyre on snow-covered roads. The HydraFlow V-shaped grooves optimally disperse water, guaranteeing very good grip even on wet roads. The combination of narrow grooves and large rubber blocks ensures excellent responsiveness even in unpredictable winter conditions.
But it also performs well in wet conditions. The directional HydraFlow tread pattern points towards the centre of the tread and optimally disperses moisture from the road surface.
Thanks to the use of Sailun’s latest wear-resistant rubber compound with high elasticity on the tread, the Sailun Alpine 2 achieves a very good balance between mileage and energy efficiency.
