Just in time for the season, the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 proved its qualities in the ADAC summer tyre test. The Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 ultra-high-performance tyre not only impressed with good ratings for braking distances on dry and wet roads, it also impressed with good handling on wet roads. Aquaplaning behaviour was also praised for lateral dynamics and longitudinal dynamics. Thanks to its low rolling resistance and low weight, the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 achieved a good score efficiency and fuel consumption. Positive feedback was also received for its low noise emissions. “The ADAC/TCS tyre test reflects the great expertise and commitment of the Sailun research and development team,” said Stephan Cimbal, Marketing Director Sailun Group Europe, summing up the individual ratings of the innovative EcoPoint3 tyre. In addition, the current tests show that a good tyre does not have to be expensive. The Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2, with an average price of 107 euros, was determined by ADAC as one of the most price attractive models in the summer tyre test 2024, and sets a clear signal as being smart premium in the competitive environment of significantly more expensive premium products from traditional European brands, all of which are in the upper price segment at over 170 euros.
In the summer tyre test conducted by the Test & Technology Team of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil Club (ADAC) and Touring Club Switzerland (TCS), a total of 16 current summer tyres, including the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2, were put to the test in 2024, particularly the 215/55 R17 dimension, which is popular with drivers of lower mid-range cars and small SUVs. All candidates had to compete in 15 evaluated categories. The modified evaluation scheme, which since 2023 has also included environmental balance, was retained, so that overall rating of a tyre is made up of 70 percent of its driving performance and 30 percent environmental balance.
In summary, the ADAC testers rated the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 as follows: With its asymmetrical tread design and improved rubber compound based on the innovative EcoPoint3 technology, the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 offers drivers of modern cars good performance in everyday use. The tyre achieves good ratings for braking distance on dry and wet roads and impresses with good handling on wet roads. It was able to compensate for minor performance weaknesses and impresses with low rolling resistance, ensures efficient energy consumption with optimum braking performance even on wet roads and impresses with good aquaplaning behaviour and handling in terms of safety. The Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 offers a smooth and pleasant ride at all speeds. In terms of efficiency, the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 secured an excellent score, relegating the majority of its competitors to second place.
Based on these results, the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 was awarded with the ‘Good Product’ seal by Touring Club Switzerland.
The performance of the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 was confirmed last year by the internationally renowned testing organisation TÜV SÜD. The EcoPoint3 tyre stood out not only in the area of economy (rolling resistance), but also in wet handling and wet braking. The treads still exhibited a clean and even wear pattern even after heavy use. “The tyre combines advanced technologies applied to all components, especially the rubber compound and tread. With its asymmetric tread design and improved rubber compound based on EcoPoint3 technology, it meets the challenges of combustion and electric cars alike,” emphasised Stephan Cimbal, adding that “the Sailun brand always strives to offer the best innovative tyre solution for every field of application in everyday life. In addition, the current Sailun tyre range, was developed for the European market, impresses with its excellent price-performance ratio. The range of the Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 tyre model currently comprises aof 68 sizes from 16 to 20 inches, with further dimensions to follow in the first half of 2024.”
