Point S Partners with Payment Assist

Point S UK is making vehicle servicing and tyre replacement more accessible to drivers after agreeing a partnership with flexible finance provider Payment Assist. The collaboration helps customers spread the cost of essential maintenance at a time when rising living costs are forcing many to defer critical work.

The agreement gives Point S member businesses access to Payment Assist’s three and six-month interest-free payment plans at preferential rates negotiated exclusively for the Point S network. The Motor Ombudsman’s annual poll of garages and workshops, published in January 2026, found that nearly seven in ten (68%) expect drivers to skip vital vehicle work as a quick way to save money, a rise from 61% in 2025 and 53% in 2024.

Payment Assist’s plans allow customers to spread the cost of repairs and replacements, up to £1,000, with no fees and no interest. The customer application process takes just a few minutes and is largely self-service. Once the garage enters a reference number, an automated process guides the customer through the rest, removing the financial barrier without adding administrative burden.

Point S members can register interest through a dedicated landing page, after which a Payment Assist account manager makes direct contact to confirm terms and complete sign-up. The process takes a maximum of 48 hours from registration to activation. Platform training is designed for a workshop environment and takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes, with ongoing dedicated account management provided thereafter.

For members already using a garage management system, Payment Assist integrates with leading platforms including TechMan, Garage Hive and Autopilot. Integration is not a requirement and the system operates as a standalone tool, requiring no change to existing processes.

Ali Yilmaz, Managing Director of Point S UK, said of the partnership: “At Point S, we have always believed that cost should never be a barrier to keeping a vehicle safe and roadworthy. That belief sits at the heart of everything our members do, and it is exactly the philosophy that drew us to Payment Assist.”

“This partnership gives our network a practical, straightforward tool to help customers say yes to work they might otherwise defer, and in doing so it protects not just their vehicles but their safety on the road. Payment Assist shares our commitment to transparency and to putting the driver first, and we are delighted to welcome them as a partner to the Point S network.”

Marcus Gregory, CEO of Payment Assist, added: “While appearing to make savings in the short-term, delaying important repairs results in larger bills later down the line and contributes to the increasing number of unsafe vehicles on UK roads. At Payment Assist, we provide a simple way to spread unexpected costs. This makes it easier for motorists to approve routine vehicle repairs and prevent unnecessary delays to important work.”

“Our model is simple – an effective, proven, single-source solution for aftercare, repair and value-added finance needs. With highly competitive rates and a partnership-led approach, we’re passionate about setting the industry standards and supporting long-term business growth. We’re looking forward to working in close partnership with Point S to support the network and enable long-term business growth.”
