MAXXIS TASTE SWEET SUCCESS AT THE BTRDA TRACKROD RALLY

Maxxis is celebrating as rally driver Pat Naylor achieved back-to-back victories at the Trackrod Rally, Yorkshire with a first in class finish, which not only highlighted the synergy between car, driver and Maxxis’ R19 tyre, but also finished the season in style. The podium top spot secured a series of excellent end of season results, as Pat, competing alongside co-driver Ian Lawrence, sealed the duo’s victory by delivering 3rd overall in the BTRDA Gold Star, 2nd overall in the Production Cup and 2nd in NR4 Class. The pair also managed to secure the Class 6 championship title in the MSA English Rally.

Racing on the high performance Maxxis Victra R19 competition tyres, the results cap a brilliant season for Naylor and Lawrence, as round 8 of the Jordan Road Surfacing BTRDA Rally Series 2018 saw the action move to the trials and tribulations of the Trackrod Forest Stages. Offering a perfect combination between performance and durability, the robust design of the Maxxis R19 was able to outlast the competition of the testing Yorkshire course, with Naylor and Lawrence driving superbly to see off the rivals behind.

Commenting on the team’s victory, Maxxis Tyre Manager Andrew Reitzner said: “Everyone here at Maxxis is delighted with Pat and Ian’s victory over the weekend. The R19 tyre is one of our toughest competition tyres, providing excellent grip, brake and resistance capabilities, which certainly came into full effect over the course of the weekend. We now look forward to next season, where our latest technology will once again be powering the guys to another great set of results.”
