The brand-new Maxxis Supermaxx SC scooter tyre has been chosen by BMW as the Original Equipment tyre for their brand-new BMW CE 04 electric scooter.
The Maxxis Supermaxx SC maxi-scooter tyre is brand-new for 2022 and has already been chosen by BMW as the Original Equipment tyre for their new 2021 CE 04 electric scooter.
The vehicle was unveiled in July 2021 and produces up to 41bhp with a range of more than 80 miles, and a top speed of 75mph (120kmh), charging from 20% to 80% battery in just 45 minutes with a fast charger.
The Supermaxx SC tyre was chosen as an OE tyre for this model thanks to its many innovative design elements which provide impressive performance, including a dual-compound rear tyre for the perfect balance of mileage and grip, a progressive spiral belt for a larger contact patch when cornering, and a spiral steel belt for optimal straight-line stability.
A core focus of the development of the Supermaxx SC is its efficiency, making it suitable for both engine and battery-powered scooters. The tyre’s low rolling resistance plays an important role on electric scooters by maximising mileage to a single charge.
“Maxxis are proud to be associated with BMW with the brand- new Supermaxx SC developed under “Principal Innovation” and a corporate culture centred around “Triple 3 system” – 100% Quality, 100% Service and 100%” Trust”, added Dr. Wally Chen, chairman of Maxxis International. “With our innovative tyre development and commitment to meet BMW’s requirements we look forward to the expansion of OE fitments on BMW’s vehicles.”
The Maxxis Supermaxx SC is available on the aftermarket in 120/70 R14, 120/70 R15, 160/60 R14 and 160/60 R15 sizes as a replacement tyre for the new BMW scooter and other maxi-scooters, too.
