A long-standing Point S member has marked a significant milestone by becoming the first in the network to be officially recognised by Stellantis as an Authorised Repairer.
Mr Unique Tyre & Exhaust Centres, based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, has been an authorised Citroën repairer for 20 years and has recently added Peugeot to its approved brand offering. It now operates with full Stellantis Authorised Repairer status – a unique achievement that combines its Point S membership with Stellantis’ official recognition.
“This development is not only a big step for us but an important one for the aftermarket. We’ve always been committed to the highest standards of service – now with official Stellantis Authorised Repairer status, we’re positioned to offer even more to our customers.” – Steve Martorana, Director, Mr Unique.
Mr Unique was originally established in 1979 by Steve’s father, Joe Martorana. The family-run business currently operates across two sites and has ambitious plans to open a third within the next 12 months to focus solely on light commercial vehicles (LCVs), including Fiat, Citroën, and Peugeot vans. The new site will cater to a growing need for high-capacity service centres for light trucks and camper vans – sectors that Steven Martorana regards as often ‘underserved’ by main dealers.
With more Stellantis LCVs – including motorhomes and specialist vehicles – requiring authorised aftersales support, Mr Unique’s expansion represents a timely and innovative response to market demand. “There’s a real shortage of facilities that can handle LCVs under warranty. We’re in discussions with Stellantis and they’re very supportive. This new venture will fill a major gap in the market, especially in the South of England,” added Martorana.
The company’s expansion is built on strong foundations – notably a team of highly experienced staff, many of whom have been with the business for over 30 years, having risen through the ranks from technicians to managers. Customer service is a core value at Mr Unique, with the team routinely conducting post-service calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
Mr Unique has been a Point S member since 2012, and Steven Martorana cites the network’s collective strength and flexibility as instrumental in supporting the company’s ambitions.
“Point S has opened doors – from better purchasing power to trusted supplier relationships. Whether it’s access to homologated oils like TotalEnergies for our Stellantis work, or the ability to tailor the business with national partners, it’s been a massive help,” Steven Martorana explained. “It’s allowed us to scale up with confidence.”
