All Linglong tyres, especially our original equipment products, meet all requirements and specifications of the automotive industry. This is not only backed by our name and our long-standing partnerships with leading automobile manufacturers, but also by numerous independent tests and inspections.
A current example is the new Volkswagen Tiguan, which is equipped as standard from the factory with a Linglong Original Equipment tyre in size 255/45 R19 100V. This Ultra High Performance tyre was specifically developed and tested according to Volkswagen’s strict requirements and is certified as an original equipment tyre with a “+” marking on the sidewall. This stands for a noticeable plus in quality, comfort, performance, and efficiency. Development took place in close coordination with Volkswagen, with a focus on criteria such as driving dynamics, safety, comfort, mileage, and emission reduction. Of course, Linglong adheres to the same specifications as all other premium original equipment tyres – regardless of their origin.
Linglong looks back on a long-standing cooperation with Volkswagen and, with the new contract for the third generation of the VW Tiguan, strengthens its position in the European market, especially in Germany. Our development work is carried out exclusively at the European Development Center in Hanover. All our developers, engineers, and compound experts have decades of experience with renowned manufacturers such as Continental or Bridgestone. Our tyres are also tested by highly qualified European test drivers on leading European test tracks – such as in Spain (IDIADA) and Finland (UTAC Ivalo) – as well as on our modern, company-owned test track in Asia.
The high quality and performance of our products are reflected in independent tests. For example, the Linglong Sport Master received a “satisfactory” rating in the ADAC test 2024, which corresponds to a recommendation. Especially praised were the good braking distances on dry and wet roads, low wear, and efficiency. In the recently published Auto Bild Summer Tyre Test 2025, the optimised Sport Master achieved 11th place out of 52 tested tyres, with top marks for wet braking (1) and dry braking (2+) – on par with the test winner and further established European brands. The Linglong R701 even received an overall rating of “good” in the ADAC trailer tire test 2025, particularly excelling in dry braking, aquaplaning in curves, and rolling resistance.
