The Intelligent Electric Vehicle Development High-Level Forum 2026 was held in Beijing in April. On behalf of the Chinese tyre industry, Linglong Tire Vice President Feng Baochun was invited to participate in the forum “New Stage, New Drivers, New Ecosystem – Market and Consumption” to speak about the latest developments in the tyre market.
In his presentation entitled “Reinventing Product Values, Strengthening a New Smart Mobility Ecosystem”, he pointed out that during the far-reaching transformations in the automotive industry, due to artificial intelligence, constantly changing environmental factors and globalisation in the automotive industry, the role of the tyre is currently being redefined. Feng Baochun noted that tyres are changing from traditional safety components to important key components that greatly affect the overall performance of the vehicle.
Linglong is actively building innovation drivers in research and development as well as marketing worldwide to be a product and service provider for intelligent mobility instead of a classic tyre manufacturer. The focus at Linglong is currently on projects that serve to optimise rolling resistance. By new and sustainable materials and innovative compound technologies, a balance between energy efficiency and performance has been successfully achieved, an indispensable requirement for all suppliers of major national and international automotive manufacturers, with whom Linglong is constantly researching, developing and testing to meet the strict requirements for original equipment tyres.
