Linglong Activates Partnership with Chelsea FC in China

At the beginning of the year, Linglong Tire organised a fan meeting in Chongqing for the second time in China together with Chelsea FC, where it is the global tyre partner. Numerous guests, partners and media representatives were invited to attend the meet-and-greet with Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola. Chongqing is in the heart of China, about 1,500 kilometres west of Shanghai. The metropolis of 32 million people is considered one of the most dynamically developing cities in China and is now one of the country’s most important trading centres.

The event was opened by Mr. Guo Kuntao, Vice President of Linglong Tire. He spoke about the highlights of the partnership so far, which has been in place since 2024, and pointed out that Linglong Tire and Chelsea FC are a particularly good match because both pursue similar goals, both companies are particularly innovative and have very high-quality standards. Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola said: “It is an honour for me to represent Chelsea Football Club at the Linglong Tire event today. This collaboration reflects Chelsea’s commitment to fans worldwide, particularly in strengthening relationships with the passionate fan community in China. Many thanks to Linglong Tire for supporting the club. I hope everyone has a wonderful time in Chongqing.”

The event offered several interactive segments, including digital photos with various Chelsea players or Stamford Bridge in the background. Fans had the chance to get autographs from Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola or play football against each other interactively and digitally. Linglong Tire showed the latest products and explained why safety and quality are top priorities in the development of the tyres. Finally, the Premier League match against Brentford was watched together in a large public viewing area, joint fan chants were sung to finally celebrate the sovereign 2-0 home victory together.
