Infleet has officially announced a change in ownership effective 1st April. After an impressive 50 years in the tyre industry, long‑standing owner Chris Comport has chosen to step back, marking a significant moment in the company’s history. As the document states, “after 50 years in the Tyre industry it is time to step back.”
The business has been acquired by Equine Rescue Services (ERS), a company with a strong heritage in both vehicle and horse rescue. ERS sees this as a strategic opportunity to expand and evolve their operations. The release highlights that the two organisations “have partnered for over 20 years and have built a strong relationship.”
Importantly, Chris will not be stepping away entirely. He will remain on the board to support the transition and help guide the company’s future direction. The release emphasises that the ownership transfer will be seamless and is expected to create new opportunities for the Infleet dealer network.
