GT Radial Performance Centre (GTPC) dealers from around the UK had the opportunity to push the latest tyres to the limit at the brand’s big Ride and Drive event in Portimão, Portugal.
Held in partnership with exclusive distributor, Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) at the celebrated Autodromo Internacional do Algarve circuit at the start of September, every representative was invited to take the wheel and, in-line with the brand’s assurance, Experience the Performance.
The GT Radial SportActive 2 was the bedrock for a Mercedes AMG A45S, BMW M3 and Honda Civic Type R for the Racetrack Experience, and all attendees were invited to experience fast laps in the passenger seats with hugely talented drivers from Giti Tire’s renowned MIRA facility.
The GT Radial FE2 adorned a Toyota GT86 for the Handling Experience, and the GT Radial Savero SUV provided sure footing on a Mitsubishi L200, VW Amarok, BMW X1 and X2 for the Off-Road Experience.

Stefan Fischer, Managing Director – Product Technology and Fabio Pecci-Boriani, Senior Product Manager PCR, SUV, Light Truck for Giti Tire (Europe) delivered an in-depth presentation covering several innovation topics.
Advanced Wet Technology, Ultra-Low Rolling Resistance Technology, Virtual Development and Eco-Sustainability were all addressed, giving attendees a thorough oversight of how the GT Radial range will develop over forthcoming generations.
