Goodyear is set to exhibit at the Road Transport Expo on 4th – 6th June at NAEC Stoneleigh. The exhibition hosts the commercial vehicle industry every year to present the latest advancements and innovations, including OEMs and leading logistics companies.
At the Goodyear stand R43, event attendees will have the opportunity to explore Goodyear Total Mobility, the company’s end-to-end fleet management offering that brings together truck tyres, solutions and services to empower fleets to become more efficient, increase competitiveness and foster sustainability. In addition, Goodyear will display its 63% sustainable-material demonstration truck tyre for the first time in the UK after being revealed at the IAA Transportation fair in 2022.
Goodyear’s 63% sustainable-material demonstration truck tyre represents the next generation of commercial vehicle tyres and a step towards a mobility ecosystem that helps fleet customers achieve increasingly important sustainability targets. It is also in line with the company’s commitment to increase the use of sustainable materials. The tyre includes 15 ingredients across 20 tyre components. The demonstration tyre is labelled “A” in fuel efficiency, the same rating as the most efficient truck tyres in the Goodyear range. It is manufactured with four different carbon blacks that are produced from plant-based oil, end-of-life tyre pyrolysis oil, carbon dioxide capture, and a low-carbon methane pyrolysis process.
Goodyear’s expert team on site will be available and support visitors to learn more about Goodyear’s fleet management solutions and potential advantages that could be offered to their fleet and instantly connect with Goodyear experts to request a customised proposal tailored to their fleet size, typical routes, and business characteristics.
Fleet mobility solutions, including Goodyear TPMS, Goodyear CheckPoint and Goodyear DrivePoint will be on display. These solutions deliver automated tyre analysis in seconds, and accelerates the productivity and efficiency of fleets, removing the manual element of tyre inspection, so fleets only need to interact with a tyre when an issue is recognised digitally. Data is stored securely on the cloud and updated in real-time through Goodyears’ mobile and web applications.
Nicola Stopford, Marketing Manager UK&I, Goodyear, looks ahead to the exhibition: “It’s great to be part of the Road Transport Expo this year to showcase the full range of technologies Goodyear offers to fleet companies. With such high-quality exhibitors on display each year, it’s one of the UK’s best opportunities to connect with current and potential customers and present the innovation happening inside Goodyear.
“At the exhibition, our experienced team look forward to demonstrating our continued commitment to developing products and solutions that help support the ambitions of our fleet business partners to be more competitive, more efficient and more sustainable in today’s challenging market, where cost pressures are ever present.”
