Goodyear DriverHub Application Supports Fleets Via Volvo Trucks My Business Apps

My Business Apps is a new subscription-based service from Volvo Trucks available in selected European markets during 2024. It enables customers to download business-related apps from different service providers for usage in the truck’s side display – no extra smartphones or tablets required.  The integration of the Goodyear DriverHub application with Volvo Trucks’ My Business Apps allows drivers and fleet managers to access real-time tyre data, a critical component of vehicle performance. The application works seamlessly with Goodyear’s tyre management solutions, including Goodyear TPMS, Goodyear CheckPoint, and Goodyear DrivePoint, providing accurate and continuous tyre condition information.

“Integrating Goodyear DriverHub with Volvo Trucks’ My Business Apps represents an important step toward enhancing fleet management with advanced tire monitoring solutions” said Piotr Czyżyk, Managing Director Fleet Mobility EMEA at Goodyear. “Our digital application ensures that drivers and fleet managers have access to vital tyre data, helping them make informed decisions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability” – he adds.

“My Business Apps is an addition to our digital service offering in Volvo Connect. By collaborating with other service providers, we can offer a wider range of in-vehicle services to our customers and their drivers. It means that our customers can benefit from using already existing hardware and connectivity in their Volvo trucks and improving the driver’s work environment inside the cab”, says Annelie Norhav, Product owner at Volvo Trucks.

Goodyear DriverHub application within My Business App include:

  • Real-Time Tyre Monitoring: Immediate alerts and notifications for tyre pressure and temperature deviations, enabling proactive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and enhance road safety.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Early detection of pressure leaks, with differentiation between fast and slow leaks, allowing drivers to take timely and appropriate actions.

Improved tyre maintenance leads to better fuel efficiency and lower emissions, contributing to more sustainable fleet operations.

“The collaboration with Goodyear makes it possible for us together to deliver a more complete solution to our common customers and make new customers aware of how they can benefit from this collaboration” – adds Norhav.

The service is available for trucks built from wk 9 2021 and onwards with a side display.
