Giti Tire has secured further OE fitment sizes on the award-winning VW Crafter, with the GitiVanHD1 now being specified in 235/65 R16 C115/113R and 205/75 R16 C113/111R.
The vehicle partnership started in April 2020 when 205/70R17 C115/113R became the manufacturer’s first European light commercial vehicle OE contract under the Giti brand.
All sizes will continue to be mounted on the front and rear axles where it is used on both single and twin fitment models, as seen by visitors to IAA Transportation 2022.
This VW Crafter has won the Parkers Van of the Year award in 2018, 2019 and 2020 as well as the Large Van of the Year award in 2020 and 2021*.
The GitiVanHD1 features the latest generation of tread compound for good wet grip and high mileage performance, a reinforced sidewall construction and a robust shoulder block design for stable handling under high loads.
The tyre was designed and engineered at Giti Tire’s European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, Germany with testing at the company’s MIRA facility in the UK as well as key locations in Germany and Spain.
