GB Tyres Confirm Ongoing Support of Black Country Foodbank

GB Tyres are one of the leading suppliers of tyres in the UK. Established in the West Midlands in 2013, their business has thrived in order to become one of the fastest growing importers and exporters of vehicle tyres in Europe.

They are a family run business with the majority of our team residing in the midlands area. When it came to selecting a charity to work with in 2023 and beyond, they had a few essential requirements in mind. Their chosen charity must have local roots in the midlands, they must be doing work that genuinely supports normal people in the area in need of support, they must be pro-active and enthusiastic about forming local partnerships.

Directors at GB Tyres commented “we quickly realised that Black Country Foodbank ticked all of the boxes for us, they are making a real difference to people needing a bit of help in the Black Country area. We were also given confidence that our partnership and frequent contributions would make a real difference.”

GB Tyres are extremely proud to be a small part of the work the Black Country Foodbank does,  and to associate their business with such a worthy cause.

The Black Country Foodbank commented “Thank you for helping us to provide emergency food and toiletry parcels for vulnerable individuals and families in crisis. The services we provide have an enormous impact on the people who use them, giving them an important breathing space at a time of great need. Last year (2022) we fed over 36,000 people, with almost 14,000 of them being children.”

The charity categorises its support into three areas. Love: They help anybody who needs support, young, old, single, or families from all backgrounds and beliefs. Connect: All the donations of food and toiletries come from local Churches, schools, individuals and corporate donors. Through the donations local organisations can play a huge part in directly helping those in need. Invest: A lot of volunteers invest their time to make the project a success. There are approximately 30+ volunteers who help to run the central warehouse, and another 100 + volunteers across 27 Distribution Centres.

GB Tyres will be making regular donations to the Black Country Foodbank on a long term basis and supporting efforts In raising awareness of the excellent work being done, and the support that is needed. You can find out more or donate by visiting https://www.blackcountryfoodbank.org.uk/
