At this year’s North West 200, Northern Ireland’s famous motorcycle race, car builder and content creator Abby Higgins revealed her fully customised Porsche 911 project in Falken Motorsport livery. The completed car, commissioned by Kerr’s Tyres & Auto and built by Higgins, was unveiled before taking to the event’s famous closed road circuit. In front of a crowd of over 200,000 people, it was put through its paces at the hands of British Touring Car Championship driver Dan Cammish.
Car builder Higgins has documented the Porsche 911 Turbo S (991) project on her social channels, amassing over 400,000 views on YouTube alone. Through the partnership with Kerr’s Tyres & Auto, Higgins has modified the standard Porsche to now feature a custom widebody kit, rear wing, diffuser, side skirts, roll cage, racing interior, GT3-style front bumper, Sparco racing seats and teal-and-blue Falken Motorsport-inspired livery.
Selected for exceptional, motorsport-derived performance characteristics, the Porsche project was completed with Falken’s AZENIS RS820 UUHP tyres. Just like Falken’s race tyres, the AZENIS RS820 features Aramid, a lightweight, high-tech, ultra-strong material that reinforces the tyre structure for enhanced cornering and high-speed stability. The tyre’s design ensures maximum contact with the road for improved lateral stability, important for dynamic driving. Complementing these features, a complex tread compound provides versatile grip and braking properties in rain and fluctuating temperatures, essential for tackling the 14.4km North West 200 course.
First Outing on the North West 200 Triangle
Cammish, who is competing for the British Touring Car Championship title in 2026 and is a three-time Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain champion, drove the car during its demonstration run. With extensive experience in high-performance Porsche machinery, he was able to put the completed project through its paces on the formidable “Triangle”.
“The car really impressed me,” said Cammish. “It felt sharp and properly engaging from the moment I got behind the wheel, with the Falken tyres offering incredible grip and composure on the bumpy, undulating course. I only had a short run so came away wanting to do more laps, which is always a good sign! It was a great to have the opportunity to run this head-turning project and bring something different to the crowds at the North West 200.”
Higgins’ Biggest Build to Date
Higgins’ interest in cars and custom builds started when she was learning to drive. She undertook her first full build in 2018, a BMW 8 Series (E31), and has since worked on numerous bespoke projects, with this Falken-liveried Porsche her most complex to date. Her hands-on approach and engaging behind-the-scenes videos have helped her to build a fast-growing following. With more than 200,000 subscribers and over 20 million views across her social media platforms, she has become an increasingly recognised figure within the performance and modified car community.
“This has been the biggest build I’ve ever taken on,” says Abby Higgins. “Stressful, chaotic but incredibly rewarding, it’s been an incredible journey to turn this standard sports car into a road-legal GT3-style race car. Huge thanks go to Kerr’s Tyres & Auto and Falken Tyres for all the support throughout the project. The goal was to build something that looks like it has come straight from the grid of the Nürburgring 24 Hours, providing exceptional grip and a sporty ride for the road. With its iconic Falken teal-and-blue livery and AZENIS RS820 tyres, we’ve certainly achieved that!”
Livery Celebrates Falken’s Legendary Heritage at the Nürburgring
Since its debut almost 30 years ago, Falken has become a firm fixture at one of the world’s most gruelling endurance races, the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The 2026 edition took place on 16-17 May, with Falken Motorsports fielding a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) among a 161-car grid that included Formula One driver Max Verstappen, who made his race debut. Beyond the headline event, Falken Motorsports also competes in the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), which it has dominated the past two seasons. It uses the 25km Nordschleife as a proving ground to develop advanced tyre technologies that feed directly into its road tyre range. Now one of the Nürburgring’s most successful and recognisable teams, Falken’s teal-and-green livery has earned cult status among race fans.
Richard Livingston, Retail Operations Manager of Kerr’s Tyres & Auto, which supported the Porsche project, said: “Having witnessed it from inception, it was fantastic to see Abby’s build on the road at the North West 200. We wanted this project to be about more than just building a car. Abby represents a new generation within the automotive scene: talented, creative and passionate. The motor industry and performance car world can still be heavily male-dominated, so it was important for us to back a local female creator and give her the platform to lead a project of this scale.”
