EVs and Sustainability Focus for Giti Tire at The Tire Cologne

Giti Tire will focus on its dual electric vehicle (EV) approach and sustainability at The Tire Cologne 2024, as well as unveiling new tyres for the passenger car, light truck and heavy truck markets.

On day one, Giti will unveil its electrification approach for passenger car and light truck with its AdvanzTech EV ready products.

Simultaneously, having been launched in June 2023, the stand will display the GT Radial dual EV strategy which aims to fulfil the special requirements of EV and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles through an in-depth portfolio of high-performing GT Radial SportActive 2 and FE2 tyres.

The manufacturer will also focus on its sustainability credentials which includes targeting a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030 and attaining Net Zero by 2050 through operational optimisation, technology adoption and nature-based solutions.

In February 2024 the company received a Gold rating from Ecovadis, the world’s most trusted business sustainability ratings and ESG compliance solution, placing it in the top 5% of global businesses.

Giti Tire will also highlight the steps it has taken to meet EU Deforestation legislation.

Visitors to Hall 7.1, Stand C030 D039 will also be greeted by several world launch premieres with new passenger car and light truck tyres from both the Giti and GT Radial brands as well as the latest Giti truck and bus products.

The Tire Cologne 2024 is also the first full scale European show since Giti Tire Motorsport revealed it was the new global automotive tyre partner of Sparco®, the world’s leading manufacturer of motorsport safety systems and racing equipment.

Based upon the companies’ shared philosophies of racing, performance, research and development and continuous safety, the manufacturer recently said the ultra-high performance GitiSportS2, carrying the sidewall inscription Giti – Powered by Sparco®, has reached Europe in 22 new and eight existing sizes.

Stefan Brohs, Marketing Director – Europe for Giti Tire, said: “Since the last show in Cologne we have made huge strides in our Giti and GT Radial product offerings across passenger car, light truck and heavy truck and bus sectors to meet current and future EV and ICE demands.

“Coupled with our global sustainability activities and targets we have created a truly compelling position in the tyre market, and we cannot wait to share these details, along with many more key messages, to our business partners, fleet operators, general visitors and the media.”
