Elite Garages Announces Acquisition of 14 ATS Euromaster Branches

Following the news that ATS Euromaster has announced proposals to wind-down its UK operations 14 of the branches are set to be acquired by Elite Garages, including the TUPE transfer of 61 members of staff.

Elite Garages has been a family business for over 65 years, growing from a single garage in the 1960s into a trusted and well-respected name within the motor industry.

With the addition of these 14 branches, the Elite Garages portfolio will now include:

38 vehicle repair centres

9 petrol stations with convenience stores and Post Offices

Morrisons Daily supermarket in Shaftesbury

EG Wholesale – its tyre wholesale business with 9 warehouses

Rental property business with 25 commercial and residential tenants

The new sites further strengthen the company’s long-term commitment to supporting local motorists with reliable, high-quality vehicle care across the South of England. Both businesses are working towards a TUPE transfer date of 18 April 2026, at which point ownership of the sites will transfer.

Richard Whittemore, Managing Director, said: “The acquisition of these 14 ATS Euromaster locations marks a significant milestone for our family business. We will work closely with ATS Euromaster to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for all employees, and we look forward to welcoming these new colleagues into the team. Together, we will ensure ongoing service for existing customers while continuing to grow each location through investment in recruitment, equipment and training. While we have grown considerably over the years, family values remain at the heart of everything we do, and we are incredibly grateful to the many colleagues who have contributed to our success. We remain committed to delivering a professional service with a personal approach in every community we serve.”

Dave Morrison, Retail Operations Manager, said: “When I joined Elite nearly 30 years ago, the business operated just 4 branches with around 30 employees. With the new sites, we will have 38 retail branches and over 400 colleagues! It has been incredible to see how the company has evolved and grown. In recent years, we have successfully acquired 8 ATS Euromaster locations and these branches have already become an important part of the Elite Garages family. We are excited to welcome a further 14 branches and look forward to building on that success. We are planning a strong focus on recruitment to ensure every branch is fully supported, alongside continued investment in training. Through our partnership with Bosch CarService, we will provide diagnostic training, as well as tyre technical and mechanical training and customer service development to support our teams and maintain high standards across all locations.”

Across its retail network, Elite Garages provides a comprehensive range of automotive services, including MOT testing, vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs. The business also carries extensive tyre stock, from budget-friendly options to premium and high-performance ranges. Customers can reserve tyres online and benefit from convenient same-day fitting. By offering free vehicle safety checks throughout the year and placing customer satisfaction at the centre of its operations, Elite Garages aims to quickly become a familiar and trusted presence in the new locations.

With a history spanning more than six decades, Elite Garages remains a proudly family-run organisation, combining modern automotive expertise with the principles of a long-established family enterprise.
