Dunlop was at the forefront of the exciting FIM E-Xplorer World Cup when its 2024 season began in Osaka, Japan, last weekend, providing tyres for the off-road electric racing series.
Thanks to its wide experience in off-road racing, Dunlop is well positioned to grip the off-road electric bikes that will compete in this innovative and sustainable championship. Launched last year, the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup has already attracted international attention and an increasing number of manufacturers participating.
The Cup, which is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), aims to promote the capabilities of zero emissions electric motorcycles in tough off-road competition. Throughout the year, it will hold rounds in environmentally conscious countries like Norway, France and Switzerland, as well as India, the world’s largest motorcycle market.
Dunlop competes globally in leading off-road motorcycle races, through partnerships with top teams in the FIM Motocross World Championship and events including the Dakar Rally and Africa Eco Race. In North America, Dunlop’s Geomax motocross tyre range has been the choice of every AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross champion since 2010.
Dunlop will provide tyres and technical expertise in Osaka, drawing from its renowned Geomax range to provide tyres that help riders extract the most performance from their bikes.
