Davanti Tyres Donates Charity Livery to British Racer Dan Zelos

Current Vertu MINI CHALLENGE points leader, Dan Zelos, took centre stage at Croft Circuit on the last weekend of July, debuting a unique one-off livery, showing his continued support for Parkinson’s UK – a charity very close to his heart.

As part of his ongoing fundraising efforts, Dan, with the help of the MINI CHALLENGE series team, arranged some special activations, aligning with last weekend’s track races at Croft Circuit on 27th – 28th July.

Spectators and other racing teams were encouraged to participate in the lineup of activities, which included a circuit charity walk and a generous prize draw. The prizes up for grabs included VIP hospitality tickets to Dan’s season finale race at Brands Hatch, his signed championship-winning gloves and cap, and a grid walk pass. All entrants to the charity circuit walk and prize draw were encouraged to donate at least £5, with all proceeds going towards Parkinson’s UK.

As Dan’s principal partner, Davanti Tyres supported the fundraising efforts by donating the unique charity livery for the Croft race weekend, allowing Parkinson’s UK to take centre stage. Complete with Parkinson’s UK colours and branding and a QR code for spectators to donate, the livery aimed to raise as much awareness and money as possible. Alongside the gifting of the livery design, the Davanti Tyres team has also made a donation themselves to the Parkinson’s UK charity.

Croft Park welcomed thousands of spectators over the course of the weekend, with the event helping Dan to raise over £4,000 to date for Parkinson’s UK.

Dan Zelos comments: “Parkinson’s disease is a diagnosis which has deeply impacted my family over the past six months, so it means a lot to bring Parkinson’s UK on board with me this year. Both the EXCELR8 Motorsport family and I will be dedicating our efforts to raising awareness for the charity and contributing to their ongoing quest for a cure. Accepting this diagnosis has been a hard journey for my family and has served as a poignant reminder to cherish every moment and live life to the fullest. I want to thank everyone who has donated and supported us so far.”

Sean Maddocks, Davanti Sales Director for UK & Ireland adds: “As Dan is one of our longstanding partners, we didn’t think twice about supporting him and his family in their fundraising efforts for Parkinson’s UK. Over 150,000 people in the UK live with the condition, so it’s sadly a disease that touches many of us and has impacted my family personally. We are committed to helping raise as much money as we can for such a great cause.”
