More than 220 exhibitors used the three-day show to reach senior leaders eager to upgrade their fleets with the latest trucks, vans and technology. The chance to see 180 motors on display, ranging from superlight utility vehicles and pick-ups, to familiar van workhorse and heavy articulated trucks, all under one roof, proved compelling – attracting around 10,000 visitors, of whom 36% were either company directors or executive management.
Meanwhile, exhibitors opting to use the event’s badge scan system recorded almost 13,000 individual meetings across the three days, equating to a new business lead being created every six seconds of the show.
Reflecting the wider trend towards zero emission transport, the dedicated Destination Net Zero zone provided a showcase of the latest technology helping decarbonise Britain’s heavy haulage fleet, including zero emission trucks from Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Trucks and Scania.
Alex Williams, Head of Brand, Sustainability and Communications at Renault Trucks, said, “This year’s CV Show provided us with a great opportunity to showcase two of our latest Renault Trucks products and have productive conversations with a number of visiting operators.”
The show’s importance also meant that businesses such as B-ON, Ford, Harris Maxus, Isuzu, National Highways, Schmitz Cargobull and Totalkare used the event to highlight their vehicles and services to Britain’s road transport sector.
Veronica Grigoriou, Director of Communications and PR, B-ON, said: “The CV Show is one of the most important events of the year for B–ON. The perfect mix of customer decision-makers and supplier partners at the show proved it again this year – and we’re already planning for next year!”
Alongside the range of technology on display, the new dedicated seminar programme provided delegates with insight from almost 50 expert speakers, who discussed how to introduce zero emission vehicles onto a fleet, how to develop and retain talent, and how to attract the next generation of school leavers into an industry that keeps Britain’s economy on the move.
Susan Kitchener, Executive Lead, the Commercial Vehicle Show, said, “The CV Show is a red-letter date in the road transport calendar, attracting the most senior people in the sector, all of whom are keen to futureproof their enterprises. It is the event where the industry gets business done and exhibitors and visitors alike are already making plans to keep the conversation going, and to be back at NEC Birmingham next April.”
The Commercial Vehicle Show 2025 will be held at NEC Birmingham on 29 April to 1 May 2025.
