AES UK will use RTX Scotland in Glasgow this November to launch Wallmek’s heavy-duty hydraulic workshop tool range across Great Britain, following a new supply partnership with the Swedish manufacturer.
The show will provide a major platform for AES UK to showcase the Wallmek range to fleet operators, dealers, workshops and maintenance providers, with a particular focus on tools designed to reduce repair times, minimise unnecessary dismantling and reduce the manual handling involved in demanding truck and trailer maintenance operations.
AES UK will initially concentrate on Wallmek’s heavy-duty range for HGVs, trucks, trailers, buses and coaches. The equipment covers applications including kingpin replacement, wheel hub removal, suspension bush removal and installation, steering and axle work and other specialist maintenance tasks.
For customers across Great Britain, the addition of Wallmek significantly broadens the specialist workshop equipment available from AES UK. Alongside its established commercial vehicle wheel alignment, collision repair, induction heating and garage equipment ranges, AES can now provide a wider selection of specialist hydraulic tooling for truck, bus and trailer maintenance, backed by product advice and technical support.

A key feature of Wallmek’s heavy-duty range is its modular approach. A single hydraulic cylinder can power multiple applications, including kingpin presses, hub pullers and bush removal systems. Workshops can therefore add tools and specific adapters as their requirements develop, while continuing to use their existing core hydraulic equipment.
According to Tom Coad, many Wallmek tools also enable components to be removed or replaced directly on the vehicle, helping to eliminate unnecessary dismantling and reducing workshop time and vehicle downtime.
Founded in Sweden in 1978, Wallmek develops and manufactures specialist tools for professional vehicle repair. Working closely with workshops, vehicle manufacturers and the aftermarket, the company has built its range around productivity, ergonomics and workshop safety, with a dedicated heavy-duty offering for trucks, trailers and buses.
Meanwhile, AES UK is a family-run commercial vehicle workshop equipment specialist established more than 20 years ago. Based in York and supporting customers across Great Britain, the company supplies equipment for commercial vehicle wheel alignment, collision repair, induction heating and general workshop applications, together with installation, training and technical support.
