Leadership Team Expands as A1 ADAS Group Creates Business Development Director Role

A1 ADAS Group has appointed Jamie Willis as Business Development Director in a newly created leadership role designed to support the company’s continued growth and strengthen customer relationships across the UK.

The appointment comes just nine months after he joined the business and reflects A1’s continued investment in expanding its sales capability across equipment, mobile ADAS calibration and remote diagnostics.

As Business Development Director, he will lead the Group’s sales function while overseeing both new business development and the ongoing management of customer relationships. Working alongside the expanding sales team, he will help bodyshops, garages, windscreen companies and fleet companies identify the most appropriate solutions for their businesses while developing new partnerships across the automotive sector.

Jamie said: “Our aim isn’t simply to supply equipment or services. It’s to become a long-term technical partner that customers know they can rely on whenever they need advice or support. Every business has different priorities, whether that’s available space, budget, workflow or future growth plans. Our job is to understand what they’re trying to achieve before recommending a solution, rather than trying to fit everyone into the same box.”

“That consultative approach, backed by ongoing technical support, is what builds lasting relationships. As we continue to grow, I also want to develop even stronger partnerships across the wider automotive industry, giving customers access to the best products, expertise and support.”

Richard Taylor, Managing Director at A1 ADAS Group, said: “Creating this role reflects both how far the business has come and where we’re heading next.”

“Jamie has made a significant impact in the nine months since joining A1. He understands our culture, our customers and what makes the business different. He’ll play an important role in helping drive the next phase of growth while ensuring we continue to build the long-term relationships and technical support that our customers value.”

Jamie brings almost 30 years of automotive experience to the position, having worked across technical, workshop management, customer-facing and commercial roles. His practical understanding of the pressures facing workshops enables him to advise customers on solutions that best suit their operational requirements, rather than promoting a single product or manufacturer.
