WESTLAKE Tyre returned to the Road Transport Expo (RTX) 2026 at NAEC Stoneleigh Park from 30 June to 2 July, in collaboration with its UK distributor, International Tyres.
Visitors explored a selection of WESTLAKE commercial vehicle tyre solutions developed to support fleet operators across long-haul, regional and mixed-service applications.
Among the highlights was the introduction of the WESTLAKE WTR PRO, a new WESTLAKE truck tyre designed with a focus on high mileage performance. Suitable for medium and long haul operations on highways and regional routes, the tyre features a wear-resistant tread compound and an optimised tread design to support durability, reduce stone retention and help lower operational risks. The WTR PRO carries both M+S and 3PMSF markings, supporting its performance across a wide range of operating conditions. The product launch is supported by International Tyres with an introductory offer for service providers and fleets alike.
“The International Tyres Sales Team is delighted to be on the WESTLAKE stand supporting the launch of the WTR PRO, a high-load 385/65R22.5 tyre, which is the widest and deepest super single in its segment, providing great value to UK operators,” said Richard Allen, Commercial Director of International Tyres.
To put that value to the test, International Tyres is partnering with WESTLAKE Service Professionals across the UK to launch the “Who can go the distance with WTR PRO” challenge. The initiative will reward both the service professional and the end user who achieve the longest distance, measured by a fixed Hubometer, between RTX 2026 and RTX 2027.
“The challenge is another example of our partnership with ZC Rubber, which continues to evolve in response to market feedback and find innovative ways to demonstrate WESTLAKE’s value against competitor offerings locally. We are looking forward to seeing the results,” Allen added.
Also displayed were the WESTLAKE WSA2 and WESTLAKE WDA2, established products within the WESTLAKE Gen II portfolio. Designed for long-haul and regional operations, the WSA2 steer tyre supports long mileage, handling and even wear through its wide tread, four wavy main grooves and multi-lateral kerfs, while the WDA2 drive tyre combines strong grip, traction, low rolling resistance and riding stability through its combination tread block design, multi 3D sipes and wide tread width.
“Together with International Tyres, we are pleased to bring WESTLAKE’s commercial tyre solutions closer to fleet operators in the UK market,” said Andrew Reitzner, UK National Sales Manager of ZC Rubber.
“RTX provides a valuable opportunity to meet customers face to face, understand their operating requirements and share how WESTLAKE products can support local market needs. We are especially excited to introduce the WTR PRO to UK fleets and operators, offering a mileage-focused trailer tyre solution designed to deliver dependable performance and strong value in daily operations.”
Building on its presence at RTX 2026, WESTLAKE Tyre, together with International Tyres, continues to strengthen its engagement with the UK market, supporting local fleets and partners with solutions tailored to evolving operational needs.
