Kumho Tyre’s OMNI RING concept has been recognised in two categories at the 2026 Red Dot Design Award ceremony, one of the world’s most renowned and influential design competitions, reaffirming the company’s leadership in global design.
Hosted by Germany’s “Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen”, the Red Dot Design Award is considered one of the “big three” international design honours, alongside the iF Design Award and the U.S.-based International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). Each year, the competition celebrates outstanding achievements across Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept.
This year, Kumho secured a win in the Design Concept category, for its visionary OMNI RING tyre concept, an innovation which was previously awarded earlier in the year in the Product Concepts category at the iF Design Awards.
OMNI RING represents a breakthrough in the future of mobility. Its modular structure is engineered for next‑generation urban transport systems, enabling free, multidirectional movement and flexible configuration.
Thanks to its design, the number of tyre modules can be adjusted to suit different mobility platforms. The concept features application‑specific tread patterns including a low‑noise, energy‑efficient herringbone design for urban environments, as well as a robust, block‑type pattern for high‑speed intercity travel.

The recognition follows the company’s earlier success in the Product Design category for the ROAD VENTURE RT, an all-terrain tyre engineered for both on‑and-offroad performance, making Kumho a two-time Red Dot winner in 2026.
With accolades from the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award, and the German Design Award, Kumho has further strengthened its position as a global design leader and remains committed to enhancing its premium brand value through innovative design and strengthened product competitiveness.
