Heuver Marks 60 Years as Trusted Tyre Partner

May 1, 2026 marked a special milestone for Heuver Tyres: the company celebrates its 60th anniversary. What started in 1966 as a small family business in Den Ham has grown into a leading and reliable tyre partner for customers across Europe.

60 Years of Building Trust, Growth and Craftsmanship

“In the past 60 years, the tyre industry has always been highly dynamic,” says Bertus Heuver. “We have continuously had to adapt and think ahead. That is exactly what has helped us grow: from a regional player to a strong international organisation.”

Today, Heuver includes not only a strong international distribution network, but also 13 Profile Heuver branches across the northeast of the Netherlands, its own wheel factory (Bevri Wheels in Zeewolde), and its own tyre brand: Albourgh. This has enabled the family business to develop into a full-service supplier within the truck, agricultural, and earthmoving sectors.

Heuver’s strength lies in combining entrepreneurship with a clear vision: investing in product range, logistics, international collaboration, and the development of proprietary products and services. This approach laid the foundation for growth in the early decades and continues to drive the company today.

The Customer as the Compass

Bertus Heuver: “The most important thing has always been, and will always be, the customer. That is our focus. Maximum customer orientation comes first. There has always been one clear rule: the customer is central. They must feel valued and experience from the very first contact that we do everything for them.”

“Knowledge, stock availability, product range, quality, fast delivery, ease of ordering, and communication in the customer’s own language have been our core values for decades. These are the foundations on which we built the first 60 years and they will remain key for the future.”

This customer-focused approach is also reflected in Heuver’s commitment to convenience. In a sector where downtime has direct consequences, reliable and efficient processes are essential. By investing in a broad and readily available product range, strong logistics, and accessible ordering channels, Heuver supports customers in their daily operations.

Digital solutions, such as the multilingual webshop, make it possible to order quickly and easily. Combined with expert advice and proactive support, this contributes to clarity, continuity, and ease of use for customers.

Continuing to Innovate to Stay Ahead

In recent years, Heuver has continuously adapted to a changing market. Digitalisation plays an important role, including the introduction of a multilingual webshop that enables international customers to do business efficiently in their own language.

Sustainability and efficiency are also becoming increasingly important. With innovative solutions, Heuver helps customers gain insight into tire performance and actively contribute to CO₂ reduction. These efforts were recognised with an EcoVadis silver rating, placing Heuver among the top 15% of assessed companies worldwide.

In addition, the company continues to invest in people and craftsmanship, through initiatives such as the Heuver Academy and training center VakMans, strengthening knowledge and quality both internally and among partners.

At the same time, the organisation remains true to its roots as a family business. Short lines of communication, strong involvement, and a focus on collaboration still form the foundation. Employees understand the market and the challenges customers face, enabling them to provide targeted advice and suitable solutions.

Ready for the Future, Rooted in the Past

“Reaching 60 years is a moment of pride,” Bertus Heuver continues. “But above all, it is a moment to look ahead. What we have built over all these years forms the foundation for the future.”

“We will continue to invest in digitalisation, logistics, and sustainability. But our course remains the same: committed, reliable, and fully focused on the customer. That is what has brought us to where we are today and what will drive us forward in the years to come.”
