Hankook to Showcase Comprehensive Portfolio at The Tire Cologne

Visitors to “The Tire Cologne” (9 to 11 June 2026) will find Hankook at stand C040/D049 in Hall 8. Covering an area measuring around 384 m², the stand will offer a comprehensive line-up of tyres as well as, for the first time, products from Hankook’s battery division.

Hankook’s presence at the trade show is focused on showcasing its passenger car and truck tyre range, featuring two new products from the winter and performance segments. This is complemented by passenger car tyres from its associate brand, Laufenn, including the latest summer tyre, the new Laufenn S Fit 2. Two mobility studies will also be presented to the public for the first time. These studies, which were first unveiled to a small audience at the Design Innovation Day in 2025, underline the company’s commitment to innovation. The exhibition space will also feature prestigious show cars, a signature feature of Hankook’s stand.

“Especially in an increasingly digital world, personal interaction remains crucial,” says Claus Gömmel, Head of Sales Consumer Products at Hankook Reifen Deutschland. “The Tire Cologne provides an opportunity for members of the international tyre industry to come together. We look forward to meeting our customers and partners in person.”

To be able to serve the European market for commercial vehicle tyres from Europe and to shorten delivery routes, Hankook is currently adding a production line for truck and bus tyres to its factory in Hungary, as announced at the end of 2023. Hankook is investing a total of 540 million euros in the project by 2027 and expects to have a production capacity of up to 800,000 units per year once construction is complete. “With targeted investment in production, products and service offerings, we are strengthening our commercial vehicle tyre business in Germany and Europe,” says Manfred Zoni, Head of Sales Truck and Bus at Hankook in Germany.

Hankook will also be represented once again at the Allianz Zukunft Reifen (AZuR) stand with its own retread brand, Hankook Alphatread.

Technology Concepts: Hankook Looks Ahead to the Mobility of Tomorrow

Hankook’s presence will be further enhanced by two design concepts from Hankook’s “Design Innovation Project”. The “Sustainable Concept Tire” is produced layer by layer using 3D printing technology. It uses recycled and renewable materials and features an organic tread design inspired by efficiency principles found in nature.

The second concept, the WheelBot 2 robotic platform, was developed specifically for the PathCruizer, a two-seater mobility pod powered by this very platform. Special spherical wheels allow it to move in all directions—sideways, diagonally, or on the spot unlocking entirely new possibilities for urban mobility solutions. Both design concepts are among the prize-winning projects from the Design Innovation Project, which has already been recognised with prestigious awards like the Red Dot Design Award, iF Design Award and IDEA Award.
