Continental is delighted to announce the formal appointment of Alex White as National Sales Manager for material handling and port operations across the UK and Ireland.
White joined Continental in 2015 and has since played a key role within the organisation. Over more than a decade, he has worked across truck, specialty and material handling product lines, bringing a wealth of experience as he settles into his new role.
“Merging responsibility for material handling and port operations tyres is a good strategic move given the significant synergies between the two product groups. I’m excited to already be building upon my tyre industry experience, contacts and knowledge to meet customer demand,” he said.
With ports in the UK only getting busier and with ongoing infrastructure projects increasing the demand for vehicles and tyres in the sector, White expects it to be a busy year ahead.
“There is a sense of optimism for this year, and with more activity at ports and the need for vehicles to help with everything from industrial expansion to construction work, I’m looking forward to being involved in a busy but rewarding pipeline of activity.”
