Bush Tyres have just announced that Scandinavian tyre giants Nokian Tyres have made them a brand partner within the UK off highway sector.
Nokian can trace their roots back to 1898 and since then, they have been producing tyres designed and engineered to perform in the harshest of environmental conditions.
As the UK’s largest stockist of Michelin Agricultural tyres, and with upcoming Indian tyre brand Ascenso tyres within our product portfolio, the addition of Nokian Tyres further strengthens Bush Tyres position as a retailer and wholesaler to be reckoned with.
Nokian’s range of Agro-Forestry tyres will form the bedrock on which Bush Tyres will build share within this competitive market. Nokian is viewed as the leading premium brand in this very technically demanding sector.
Alongside their range of Forestry Tyres Nokian produce tyres for busy ports and terminals, mining, agriculture, trucks, and public transportation. They also manufacture a range of highly regarded Earthmover and industrial/construction tyres.
The Agro-Forestry market which Nokian dominates has seen major advances in mechanisation driven mainly by the need for more sustainable and environmentally products.
Driving Agricultural Tyres Forward
Nokian is pioneering digital technologies that wirelessly monitor tyre pressures, tyre temperatures, all of which can be Bluetoothed to a smartphone. There Intuitu 2.0 system can be found within their Soil King VF range of agricultural tyres.
This new Intuitu™ 2.0 which builds upon the development of their proven Intuitu 1.0 system introduces load-sensing technology to provide precise tyre pressure recommendations based on the tractor’s actual operating weight and usage conditions.
With sensors installed in the inner liner of the tyres, the system measures the load being carried. There is no need for specialised knowledge to calculate the tractor’s operating weight with implements and ballasting, all necessary data is available in one place, ensuring informed decisions.
Nokian’s Intuitu technology improves traction and tyre longevity, leading to an estimated a 5.2 % improvement in traction and a 180 litre reduction in fuel over a 12-month period which all feeds into Nokian’s goal of producing safer and more sustainable tyres for generations to come.
With this new range of Nokian premium tyres, and with Bush Tyres in depth understanding of the UK market and more importantly their expertise at getting the product into the market, it is going to make for some exciting times ahead.
