Bond International Expands York Racecourse Sponsorship

Bond International, the Pocklington based tyre wholesaler, has expanded its sponsorship with York Racecourse. Bond has been a longstanding supporter, but this year has increased its offering. Racegoers will see the Churchill tyres logo and branding in more places around the course next year. Churchill tyres are the company’s own brand of tyre which are sold in the millions across the UK. This will increase brand awareness while supporting the racecourse, something the business has done since Reg Bond, the founder of Bond International, began the relationship many years ago.

James Brennan, Head of Marketing and Sponsorship at York Racecourse, said: “Everyone at York is delighted that the longstanding partnership with Bond International has been expanded. The combination of offering business guests a day of racing, complete with a business update, in an environment that reinforces their brand is a case study in optimising marketing through sport. On the occasions when they are valued sponsors, the opportunity to build relationships with important partners is to the fore. Both guests and the home team get extra experiences and excitements when the famous yellow and black silks appear on the Knavesmire itself. Macmillan Cancer Support are thrilled that Bond International are continuing the support for the biggest Charity Raceday in Britain.”

Charlie Bond, CEO of Bond International, said: “The relationship with York Racecourse is so important to me. My father started this and it is something I am proud to continue. We invite our valued customers to the race days where they enjoy a fabulous day of sport, and we are able to enhance our relationships with them. It is an excellent way to advertise Churchill tyres and increase the brand awareness. I have always enjoyed the relationship with York Racecourse and intend for it to continue for many years to come.”
