The European Hydrogen Week in Brussels, which started on Monday, ends today. The HySE-X2, a vehicle fitted with TOYO TIRES’ Open Country tyres, was on display. The vehicle was presented by the eponymous HySE (Hydrogen Small Mobility & Engine technology) research association.
The European Hydrogen Week is one of the largest annual events on hydrogen in Europe, organised jointly by the European Commission, Hydrogen Europe and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership.
The X2 on display at the Automobile Club de l’Ouest stand is based on the engine and chassis of the tried-and-tested HySE-X1, which took part in the 2024 Dakar Rally. In this tradition, the successor X2 will also compete in the Dakar in 2025, which will take place in Saudi Arabia from January 3 to 17. There will be a special Mission 1000 ACT 2 class for carbon neutral vehicles of the next generation. TOYO TIRES will also support this endeavour with a version of the Open Country that uses sustainable materials.
