Glyn joined Dexel in August 1973 as a Car Tyre Fitter, and when Dexel started to do truck tyres, he became one of their first Commercial Tyre Technicians. As the truck department grew, it required it’s own manager and as such, Glyn became their first Truck Division Manager and latterly, their first Truck Division Director. As time passed, the truck division grew from strength to strength under Glyn’s stewardship and in early 2009, having outgrown their initial depot they moved to their current premises at Hellaby, Rotherham. Glyn retired from Dexel in November 2020.
Glyn sadly passed away at home on Friday morning and is survived by his wife, son, daughter and grandchildren. A loving father and husband, he will be sorely missed.
