Following the recent UK Government’s ‘rule of six’ announcement, we can confirm that Salon Privé is approved to proceed and adheres to the UK Government’s official guidelines. Their position states:-
‘Outdoor events, that are organised by businesses, charitable organisations, and public bodies, may have more than 30 attendees provided they have carried out a thorough risk assessment and taken all reasonable steps to mitigate the risk of viral transmission, taking into account that risk assessment, in line with COVID-19 Secure guidance. It is illegal for other outdoor events to have more than 30 people attending unless one of the exceptions set out in the relevant regulations applies.‘
Salon Privé 2020 will proceed as planned from 23 – 26 September at Blenheim Palace. Having liaised extensively with His Grace, The Duke of Marlborough, the CEO and the Operations Director at Blenheim Palace, we can reassure all guests, sponsors, concours entrants and exhibitors that the event will officially open on Wednesday 23 September.
“At Blenheim Palace, we are looking forward very much to welcoming everybody to Salon Privé 2020. The planning to make this a safe and enjoyable event has been exemplary, with the wellbeing of all attendees at its heart. We have liaised closely with the Licensing Authority (West Oxfordshire District Council) who are satisfied that Salon Privé can take place based on current guidance.” said Dominic Hare, CEO of Blenheim Palace.
Andrew Bagley, Chairman of Salon Privé commented “We have had the most robust COVID-19 Secure plans in place for many months now and with the approval of Blenheim Palace and the gracious welcome extended by His Grace, The Duke of Marlborough, we will proceed safely as planned.“
