Sailun is celebrating the premiere of its tyre brand in the 2024 motorsport season and will be an official tyre supplier of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) in various racing series. “Racing series offer us ideal platforms and also serve as laboratories on wheels. The broad-based commitment to racing ensures that we can also drive forward future innovations in the areas of safety, performance and sustainability,” emphasises Stephan Cimbal, Marketing Director of Sailun Europe. From the 2024 season, Sailun will supply racing tyres for various international professional events, including the FIA F4 Chinese Championship, the TCR Asia International Series, the China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) and the Superrace Championship held in South Korea. “Racing on FIA level is perfect to demonstrate sustainable performance. Motorsport has always been a congenial platform for developing, testing and proving advanced technologies that can be applied to mass production products. “From racetrack to road” is a common theme for premium manufacturers in all automotive businesses.
In recent years, Sailun has also made significant advances in racing tyres thanks to its pioneering technological innovation and growing production capacity. As a result, Sailun’s current range of tyres offers superior performance to racers in a wide variety of motorsport series thanks to its experience in numerous high-profile global events and its commitment to constantly push the boundaries of tyre performance. In future, Sailun will transfer the knowledge gained from motorsport to the technology of car tyres for everyday use.
