Roadrunner Tyre Trading Ltd, is expanding their business by opening a new retail depot in Kendal on the 12 July 2021.
The family run independent tyre retailer currently based in Garstang, has been established for nearly 22 years and decided to expand their operations into South Cumbria due to customer demand.
Roadrunner is headed up by husband-and-wife team, Andrew and Barbara Hodgkinson who started the business in November 1999. They have spent the last 22 years developing the company from fitting truck tyres from the back of a van to be the unique family enterprise it is today. Alongside their daughter, Jade, and the rest of the team they continue to deliver the same ethos of ‘Quality Products, Value for Money and Honest Advice’.
Managing Director, Andrew Hodgkinson said: “We had been planning to open an additional depot for some time and when the opportunity came up for a site in Kendal, we couldn’t say no. The move to South Cumbria is a natural progression for us, as we already service many established customers in the area. We are excited to move forward with the next phase of the business whilst remaining true to the family values that have been an important part of our business plan from day one.”
Jade added: “We can’t wait to get going at the new site, it’s a big move for us but we are looking forward to the challenge. We are a family business throughout, and I am looking forward to being part of this new chapter from the start. I was still in school when the Cabus depot opened but have seen it grow from strength to strength – now my own children are watching this next step unfold and excited to see the new depot.”
