This weekend, the FIA European Truck Racing Championship heads to the legendary Nürburgring. The Int. Shell ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, marks the third of seven rounds on the 2026 calendar and a genuine home round for Clemens Hecker and his team.
As throughout the season, Team Hecker competes with SAILUN powered by Bohnenkamp as its official tyre partner. The partnership between Sailun Tyre Europe and the Bohnenkamp Group, announced at the start of the season, supports the family-run racing outfit from Anröchte across the full championship in the Chrome category.
Hecker arrives at the Nürburgring with extra momentum. At the TGP Championship round at Lausitzring in June, he claimed his first overall win of that series with the truck completely rebuilt for the 2026 season, a result that provides a welcome confidence boost after a difficult start to his FIA ETRC campaign. “We had a strong season last year and built a completely new truck with new technology for this one. There was hardly any time to test before the season started, which made the win at Lausitzring even more of a reward. It gives us real motivation for our home round at the Nürburgring,” says Clemens Hecker, driver and team owner of Team Hecker.
With its 3.629-kilometre Short Circuit layout, the Nürburgring is the shortest but one of the most spectator-friendly stops on the calendar. Four races across one weekend and the setting of the long-standing Truck Grand Prix make the event a highlight of the German motorsport season and a fitting stage to showcase the partnership between SAILUN, Bohnenkamp and Team Hecker.
Team Hecker will showcase the full line up of their team trucks fitted on Sailun tyres, including the iconic Scania with specially branded “Smart Performance” tyres. Also Sailun soccer balls will be given out to fans at the Team Hecker hospitality truck in sweepstakes and interactive activities.
