Maria from Tyre Trade News will be away until 21st November. She will be taking part in a challenge to cycle 250 miles in rural Rajasthan, India. She will be cycling from the iconic Taj Mahal to the Pink City of Jaipur.
After many months of training for this event, going from zero fitness to undertaking an average 50 miles a day for five days, Maria is finally ready!
It all began with a casual text from her sister asking if they should do the event having stumbled across a magazine advertisement for Women V Cancer, and in no time at all, they were signed up and training began.
Maria has taken on this challenge to raise funds for three women’s cancer charities, Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action. Maria says “As someone who has been on the receiving end of what these fantastic charities offer, I felt it would be great to give a little back and to challenge myself physically and mentally……and it certainly has been a challenge!”
