Prometeon, a leading company in the commercial, agricultural and OTR tyre sectors, is sponsoring the Hutchinson Transport motorcycle racing team in the UK national ‘No Limits Racing CB500’ championship.
Hutchinson Transport Managing Director Rhys Hutchinson will ride a Prometeon liveried Honda CB500 in the prestigious amateur competition which takes place across the UK at leading race circuits including Donnington Park, Snetterton and Cadwell Park. Prometeon is supporting the team for the 2026 season, which continues through until 11 October, culminating with the final round at Donington Park National.
Rhys Hutchinson began bike racing aged 12 and joined the Aprilia Superteens. He has competed in a range of competitions over the years and, following a recent break in his racing career, returns to the circuit this year in the ‘No Limits Racing CB500’ championship.
Hutchinson Group is a leader in the transportation of hazardous chemicals, as well as being a major commercial vehicle workshop provider across the North of England. The company operates a fleet of nearly 40 trucks and 85 specialised bulk chemical transportation trailers with a team of highly trained professionals who are expert in handling hazardous materials.
Prometeon’s partnership with Hutchinson Transport commenced in 2024 when the company was appointed as the transport operator’s sole tyre supplier providing premium tyres across the Hutchinson vehicle fleet. The contract also includes the Prometeon Pro Services suite, a range of value-adding tyre management solutions designed to improve fleet efficiency, reduce downtime and control operating costs. These services cover all the needs of fleets including central billing, mileage, retreadability, call assistance, and tyre management.
Steve Tift, Prometeon UK and Eire Managing Director, commented: “We’re delighted to be supporting Hutchinson Transport in this year’s ‘No Limits Racing CB500’ championship. The Hutchinson family are bike racing enthusiasts focussed on top performance in all areas of their business and in their racing activities. Prometeon echoes that enthusiasm for competition and peak performance.
“This sponsorship continues our successful support for some of the most demanding motorsport competitions such as the FIM Superbike World Championship, the GB Speedway Team, and the Dakar Rally through partnerships with the Italtrans and MM Technology teams. We wish Rhys Hutchinson and the Hutchinson Transport team the best of luck in this year’s ‘No Limits Racing CB500’ championship.”
Rhys Hutchinson, Managing Director of Hutchinson Transport said: “We really appreciate Prometeon’s support. This partnership will enable us to compete in the full programme of events in this year’s ‘No Limits Racing CB500’ competition.
“It’s been a really positive journey working with Prometeon over the past two years. Our vehicles can cover over 90,000km a year on demanding trunking operations and tyre performance has been excellent. At the same time, with Prometeon’s input, we have been able to put in place the optimum structure for the management of tyres across our fleet utilising the Pro Services suite.
“The technical support from Prometeon’s account management and engineering teams has also been outstanding. We have ambitious plans for the further growth of our business, and we know with Prometeon, we have a true partner on the journey.”
